When you book a wedding reception at Zeris Inn in Mountain Lakes, New Jersey, chances are you’re going to speak to one Zeris or another. Brothers Chris and Andy Zeris opened a family style restaurant in 1972 and expanded to the current banquet facility in 1973. Today, the Zeris Inn is not only a beautiful banquet facility, perfect for a wedding reception, it’s still very much a family business. Whether you work with Steve Zeris, his grandparents, his parents, or his children, you’re guaranteed a personal touch.

Zeris Inn-Mountain Lakes, NJ-wedding receptionsSteve Zeris is a soft-spoken man and not one to toot his own horn. He lists the hospitality, good food, and affordability of Zeris Inn as the keys to his family’s success. Then he casually mentions that he sees a lot of repeat customers. “Last week we had a wedding party here. The mother of the bride was married here years ago, and her daughter was married here last week,” says Steve. “We do form lifetime relationships with our customers. They’re like family.”

Multi-generations of the same family hosting a wedding reception in the same facility? That speaks volumes about the quality of service and the personal attention to detail that lucky Zeris Inn brides receive. There can’t be a more sterling recommendation for a banquet facility than your own mother!

Zeris Inn is situated in five acres with one acre of beautiful park area and features a charming gazebo for outdoor weddings. Steve notes that, of course, Zeris Inn doesn’t charge for ceremonies and the gazebo is there for his brides to use. If you’re looking for an indoor ceremony, Zeris Inn can accommodate that too, with separate rooms for ceremonies, cocktail hours, and sit down dinners. There’s also a separate bridal room, so jittery brides have a quiet place to get ready with their friends. “We provide a champagne toast, of course,” says Steve.

During our discussion, Steve says “of course” a lot. He takes for granted that the sterling service provided by Zeris Inn is standard, but brides-to-be calling every banquet facility in town know that this is rarely the case. Silver candelabras, coordinated colored table linens, separate cocktail greenhouse, a five hour open bar (and lots more)… of course, these are all part of a standard wedding package, of course. But only at Zeris Inn. Those sorts of personal touches are typically available at banquet facilities, but at a price. “What can I say,” Steve says with a laugh. “You get more bang for your buck here.”

Truer words were never spoken. Just take a look at the Zeris Inn website to see all of the things a wedding package includes. Give the scrumptious continental menu a look. Then give Zeris Inn a call and be prepared to be utterly charmed by Steve Zeris and his family. And also be prepared to book not only your wedding, but your anniversary party, your first communion party, your mom’s birthday party, and every other family event you’ll need a banquet hall for.

Oh, and if all of that isn’t enough… to celebrate their 39th year at the current location, Zeris Inn is offering 10% off wedding reception packages booked for Fridays and Saturdays throughout 2012. Of course.
